Team Behind WATSAN
Chandrasekaran. J
Founder & Managing Director
Chandrasekaran J. has 32 years of industry experience in plastics technology, specializing in designing, prototyping, and manufacturing various products. He holds a license from IMMT (CSIR) for Terafil water filters which has benefitted over 4 lakh households till now. He collaborates with eminent academic institutions like IITs and other institutions to solve the water contamination issues across the water cycle. Recognized for innovation and heritage conservation, he had received several awards, including startup awards from CII and FICCI for his contributions to healthcare and startup empowerment.
P. N. Subramanian
Director
P.N. Subramanian, Co-founder and Director of WATSAN Envirotech Private Limited since 2013, brings 35 years of diverse industry experience. With a Bachelor's in Engineering and an MBA from XLRI, he specializes in strategic planning and finance, driving the company's growth in sustainable water and sanitation solutions.

Strategy Head
Rajlakshmi K, our Chief Change Maker for Outreach Programs and Strategy Head, brings over three decades of IT expertise, focusing on modernization and project management. Her experience aids WATSAN in streamlining the systems and processes, ensuring effective engagement with our partners and stakeholders leading to efficiency in operations.

With over 30 years of diverse experience in manufacturing, financial services, philanthropy, and training, Chandni Lamba now focuses on CSR & sustainability advisory, aligning organizations and individuals with SDGS.
Chandrashekar Bhat
Head of Growth at Watsan
Chandrashekar Bhat, an alumnus of IIMB and NITK, brings a wealth of experience and passion for growing early-stage ventures. As ex-founder of Trashin, he implemented innovative solutions to transform lives of waste pickers at the grassroots. Building on the insights, he has coached 20+ climate startups during his tenure as a mentor at SusVentures, guiding them through their journey from idea to market.
Now, as Head of Growth at WatSan, he drives impact by scaling sustainable solutions in water and sanitation to achieve WatSan’s mission of impacting 100 million Indian households by 2030.
Dr. Mansee Bal Bhargava
Consultant
Dr. Mansee Bal Bhargava, a transdisciplinary expert in sustainability and liveability, has joined WATSAN as a consultant. Her mission is to empower women across India to become change makers and create grassroots-level Women Water Warriors (WWW) to understand, remediate, and promote water sustainability, aiming for a water-positive India.
