WATSAN Purifiers use zero electricity and they result in zero wastage of water. The purifiers are in the affordable price range compared to the competitors. The filtering candles don’t need frequent replacement and leads to less maintenance costs.
If the purifier containers and the candles are regularly cleaned, the purifier will have a long life. There are instances where our purifiers are in use for more than 10 years.

15 litres of water will get filtered in 5 to 6 hours

If the candles are cleaned and rinse washed on regular basis, these can be of use forever

Clay candles need not be replaced, if these are cleaned and rinse washed regularly.  But in case of arsenic or fluoride adsorbents, a change is required at least once in 2 years. The local PPB or PPM levels of arsenic and fluoride has to be considered to see how long the adsorbents can work. It may vary across water in different places thereby enhancing or reducing the life span of the add-ons.

Most preferred method is to rinse wash the candles with a simple brush under running water. No chemicals should be used to clean the candles. Alternatively, the candles can be backwashed with the help of an air pump.
The process is nano-filtration. The nano pores are from top to bottom of the candle. Unlike membranes which get clogged due to deposition of the contaminants, these are surfaces with nanopores. So they can be cleaned and used again and again.

When rate of filtration becomes slower, It is recommended to rinse and wash the candles on a daily basis.

As suggested earlier, if the candles are cleansed on a regular basis, the purifier will work without problem for more than 5 years. Depending on the turbidity of the water, the purifier containers also can be cleansed regularly.
Everything can be handled by the user herself or himself. There are self help,/ Do-It-Yourself (DIY) youtube videos available to explain the process.
TDS stands for total dissolved solids, and represents the total concentration of dissolved substances in water. TDS is made up of inorganic salts, as well as a small amount of organic matter. Common inorganic salts that can be found in water include calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, carbonates, nitrates, bicarbonates, chlorides and sulphates. These minerals can originate from a number of sources, both natural and as a result of human activities. Agricultural and urban runoff such as waste water discharges including industrial waste water can carry excess minerals into water sources.
Selective dissolved solids (SDS) which are harmful in nature like salts of Iron, Arsenic, Fluoride are removed through our tailor-made Water Purifiers. But it will not reduce the TDS levels.
Yes micro-filtration has nothing to do with TDS, but it does not reduce TDS.
No, we don’t add artificial sweeteners to make water tasty.
To remove chlorine or any other smell in water, add active charcoal bag in top container of the water Purifiers. Please reach out to info@watsan.in for your needs.
