Poor water quality poses significant health risks, including infections and diseases, while high mineral content leads to pipe and appliance damage, escalating maintenance costs. In India, communities grappling with contaminated water sources encounter challenges accessing safe drinking water, adversely affecting their well-being. Watsan Community Purifiers offer innovative solutions addressing these issues, with capacities ranging from 50 to 2500 liters per hour. These purifiers adhere to IS 10500 Standards, removing harmful contaminants like arsenic, fluoride and heavy metals, thereby preventing waterborne illnesses. They operate without electricity, utilizing gravity-based mechanisms, and retain essential minerals. Watsan also provides water vending machines (Water ATW) and portable dispensers (Water on Wheels WOW), ensuring round-the-clock access to clean drinking water with minimal maintenance. Endorsed by the Jal Shakti Ministry, these solutions contribute to efficient water resource utilization, zero electricity consumption, and easy installation and operation, crucial for communities dependent on groundwater. By ensuring safe, accessible water, Watsan water purifiers significantly improve the health and well-being of communities, mitigating the adverse effects of poor water quality.

WATER ATW (Any Time Water) vending machine provides clean drinking water 24 hours a day in water affected areas to the communities. The basic objective of the water ATW is to provide safe and clean drinking water to the poor at a low cost, with minimal power to run the dispenser. There is no wastage of water (or) backwash water released from Watsan’s machines and hence every volume poured into the top container is automatically converted to pure drinking water at the dispensing end! These can be kept as kiosks in any place and water can be dispensed. Rural Entrepreneurs can start their own businesses with less investment.
Water on Wheels (WOW)
The WATSAN – water on wheels is designed to cater the needs of the village women who have to walk miles to fetch water. To relieve the pain of carrying the water, we have developed these roller drums, to enable them to roll down the water to their homes, rather than carry it on their head. The total capacity of the roller drum is 65 liters which compensates more than carrying 3 conventional pots on the head.
