Description
The WATSAN – water on wheels is designed based on the need of the village women who have to walk miles to fetch water. To relieve the pain of carrying the water, we have developed these roller drums, to enable them to roll down the water to their homes, rather than carry it on their head. The total capacity of the roller drum is 65 liters which compensates more than carrying 3 conventional pots on the head. Also, even though there are many such similar products in the market, many complained that the bearings wear out and the push-rods are bigger enough to transit from one place to another. So we designed (design patent applied for) the drum to have a shaft and pulley arrangement, in which the steel rod can be locked and run, to eradicate the fatigue of the bearing and wear out. Also, the rods are retrofitted with joints, nuts, and bolts again, to shrink them when not in use and keep them inside the drum itself for easy transit.
Features:
- The roller drums are made with virgin food-grade polyolefin material and is 100 % recyclable.
- Approx. Dimensions of the roller: 1065 x 550 mm. Steel rod assembly 3.5 x 4 ft.
- Capacity to hold water: 55 to 60 liters of water
